Redbridge Additional Licensing Consultation - 13 December 2021 to 7 March 2022

Monday, December 13, 2021 - Redbridge Council

Redbridge Additional Licensing Consultation 2021

Date: Monday 13 December 2021 to Monday 7 March 2022

About: Redbridge Council has launched a 12 week consultation on plans to renew their additional licensing scheme.

In the London Borough of Redbridge, all Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) need to be licensed under mandatory HMO and additional licensing schemes. There are also selective licensing schemes that operate in part of the borough. The current additional licensing scheme ends on 12 April 2022.

Before making a decision, the council wants to hear from private tenants, landlords, residents, businesses and anyone in the surrounding areas.

The additional licensing proposal

Rebridge Council is proposing a new additional licensing scheme would include all Houses in Multiple Occupation throughout the borough.

If approved, the additional licensing scheme would be extended for another five years.

You can find out more about the proposed licensing scheme and take part in the consultation here. The consultation closes on 7 March 2022.

If you need any help with the consultation, you can contact the council by email
